Dear Family And Friends,

This was a great week. We started out the week by attending the Temple.

Tuesday was our temple trip. We attended the temple with President and Sister Keyes. We were in the first session of 4 sessions. They had to bring in more chairs into the rooms to seat all the missionaries.  It was a great Experience to be there with all the missionaries. After the Temple we had lunch provided by a ward close to the Temple.  After lunch President talked with us about family and the importance of them and how after our mission that is our next step in life. In the evening we taught a lesson to the repairman that came out to fix the lock.

Wednesday we did some service for the McCimbergs.  We help prep their deck for staining. It was fun. We also dug up a tree.  We had a great lesson with Tim. We read from the Book of Mormon with him and talked about the word of wisdom. It went real good.

Thursday we had weekly planning I enjoy being able to talk about our investigators and what we should teach them next and plan for the next week. We did some tracting we talked to a few people. Not a lot of people here are open to talk to us. We tried to see lots of less actives but no one was home.

Friday was exchanges I went to Fleming Park with Elder Vaughn.  We had a great day; we talk to lots of people and saw lots of members.  It is interesting how in different areas the people respond to us differently.  We had a great exchange together and was interesting to think that we went on exchanges in Mary-ville together also.

Saturday we spent the day in a town called Peculluer.  It was cool we meet a couple of people that we didn't know and set up some for latter. We found a couple of people that might be interested later.  So we have people to come back to.

Sunday we met with our ward mission leader and had a great meeting. Our Church Meetings were on the Restoration and the importance of it. We did some tracting after dinner.  While we were tracting we were having a problem finding people interested. The last house we knocked Wade and he was interested and accepted a copy of the Book Of Mormon. It was interesting to see how it was the last house that we found someone and if we gave up and didn't finish we wouldn't of found him.

Thanks for all the letters and the support. I love you all.
Love,
Elder Benjamin Allen

Dear Family and Friends,

This was an interesting week we did a lot of biking.   We had lots of meetings to attend also.

Tuesday we started out by doing service for a member all the way out in Garden City.  We help cleaned up her barn and pulled some weeds from her rose garden. We also had interviews with President and Sister Keyes. It was great to be able to sit down and talk with him. While the missionaries were being interviewed we had district meeting taught by our district leaders. While I was in with President Keyes he gave me a priesthood blessing. It was a blessing to be able to get one from him. It was also Elder Romny’s Birthday.

Wednesday we biked lots trying to find people home. We were able to meet with Tim. He is a fire firefighter and we read a chapter with him. We had family home evening with the Reeds in the ward. We talk about how the world is changing and sin is becoming easier to find.

Thursday we did some service for the Smiths. We cut their grass and moved some rock for them. We taught an investigator named Bobbi about faith.  We help teach the second new member lesson to the Focucets family.

Friday the Aps came and spent the day with us. Elder Alvey and I spent the day together. We tried most of the less active families in the rosters. It was great to be able to work with the aps and learn from them. We had dinner with the Kelleys and talked with them about the scriptures. He is the seminary teacher for the area. We also talked about food storage and the importance of it and how to use/store it.

Saturday we helped Brother Whener move his mom into a place just 5 houses down from us. She isn't a member so there might be some hope in teaching her.  We found a couple of people that accepted a Book of Mormon. We had stake conference in the afternoon. Elder Ward from the 70 was here. We also had President and Sister Keyes attending the evening meeting. President Spoke had all of us stand and recite our purpose and motto and then later one thing we are thankful for that the members do for us. The whole meeting was on how to support the missionaries.

Sunday was also stake conference. It was on what we could do to strengthen our spiritual muscles and how to share the gospel while we do it.

This week was a good week. I have noticed that not as many people are open to us as in St. Joe. But also this is also a smaller town. Riding bikes is fun but after a week you look forward to the car.

Thanks for all the letters and support.
Love you all,
Elder Benjamin Allen

Dear Family and Friends,

This week has been an interesting week. Elder Alexander left for Brazil.  We had transfers and I got transferred. My new companion is Elder Romny.

Tuesday was Elder Alexander's big day.  President Keyes called us early in the morning. He was telling Elder Alexander good-bye and informing me about me leaving. He was shutting down the Elder in the First ward since lots of visa waiters left for their missions and not a lot were coming out. He told us he wanted our place to be cleaned real good and left better that we found it. We then carpooled with the zone leaders to the stake center where Elder and Sister Rasmussen picked up Elder Alexander to take him to the airport. I spent the rest of the day with the zone leaders. We meet with the stake presidency in the evening.  We got transfer calls. I told us that I was leaving and going to Harrisonville to serve with Elder Romny.

Wednesday Elder Moss and I finished packing our stuff and we said good bye to some of the people that I was working with and those they were working with.

Thursday was transfer day! We all meet at the stake center in Independence. I turned in the phone and keys for the St Joe area. I found my new companion Elder Romny. He is from New Mexico. We drove back to our place in Raymore. We are serving in the Harrisonville ward in the Raymore area. We got to our place to find that it was a mess.  Elder Cortez hadn't cleaned out his stuff or the apartment. I did some cleaning before I could start to unpack.  We don't have a full time car so we share and this wasn't our week to have it. We walk tons to find everyone not home. We had dinner with the James Family, they took us to Golden Coral.  It was good.

Friday we did even more walking. We meet with Bobbi and talked with her about Jesus Christ.  We did some tracting but it was not effective here, no one wants to talk with us about church. We had dinner with the Bishop and his family. After that we help prepare for a get together since the Workmans in the ward are leaving. The members sent us home with tons of treats after it was over.

Saturday we did more walking trying to see some investigators and meet the members. It is starting to get hot out here in Missouri.  We had dinner with the Workmans. They are leaving for Australia this next week.

Sunday was Fast Sunday. We had tons of meetings in the morning. We almost spent the whole day at church. We sung in the choir before church started.  We have church meting very late in the afternoon. When Bishop Bessette stood up to bear his testimony he told the congregation that after he was finished that Elder Allen would then come up. He didn't even give me a heads up. We had dinner with the Tracys.

I had a great week. I am excited to be in a new ward and to be with Elder Romny. Thanks for all the letters.
